When I was in Philly the other weekend, we made a film. It is called 600 Departures. Enjoy and especially enjoy the couple making out in the background.

Cake Parade
"And if we try to raise their memory you know it's only second best to all the boys who never will who never will be men." -Georgie James, "Cake Parade."
A person who was very important in the shaping of who I am today became a tragedy of the Iraq War in August of last year. I wanted to write about it back then but I guess it was still just all too much for me to comprehend. It was brought to my attention that Scott Kirkpatrick was highlighted in this month's issue of Details.

While some soldiers will never get to live as men, it is clear that Scott not only lived his an honorable man who stood for his ideals but was also a truly poetic soul in every sense of the word. Of course memories are never as good as having someone around but almost every one's memories of Scott will make them smile.
We all miss him but we are also very proud of him.

Harmour Love
"Harmour Love" is a beautiful little song written by Stevie Wonder and performed by his then wife, Syreeta. I first heard this song two years ago in the movie "Junebug." Back then, I couldn't purchase the song on iTunes. I could only buy the song if I bought the whole Stevie Wonder Collection. I have been thinking about covering this song so I went on iTunes and you still have to buy the whole collection to get this song. I don't have any type of downloading program so I am screwed. I also just really want the song because it is the most wonderful song I have ever heard. You can hear it here:

CRAP
My car is going to cost under $800 to fix and I just spent about $300 on a vet visit for Dottie yesterday. So much for getting a Macbook next month. :(

Resolutions
Yes I am making some. You can read about some general ones I made in an interview with DCist here.
- Listen to more music. For being a musician I only really listen to 3 bands. I need more inspiration.
- Take a lot of photographs with my new cameras. I've been meaning to get into photography for forever and this year is the year.
- Dress better.
- Say what I mean.
