Keep Austin Weird

I went to SXSW this year just to hang out. It was kinda nice not having to worry about loading in and all that. It was also nice to not have Erik make me get up at 5am to get a parking spot. Here are the bands I saw:

Mean Creek
Eli "Paperboy" Reed
Hot Panda
Mason Proper
Girls
Bad Veins
Dirty Projectors
N.A.S.A
Wild Light
Cut Off Your Hands
The Wrens
We Have Band
Bishop Allen (like one song)
Passion Pit (also one song)
UME
Ra Ra Riot
Princeton
Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Headlights

I also went to the woxy studio and saw We Have Band again and a few songs of Future of the Left.

For those of you interested in this sort of thing my favorite bands were We Have Band and Dirty Projectors. The most disappointing was N.A.S.A cause it was like listening to one of Erik or Adam's DJ sets (without the "put that p*ssy on me" sample) and Kayne West didn't show up for his part on their single. I also never saw Ladyhawke but overall a very successful and exhausting SXSW!
